Our purpose-built home at Woodleigh provides the highest quality home-from-home experience for older adults, adults in rehabilitation and those who require specialist dementia care. We are a friendly and vibrant community, with several events running every week by our experienced and caring team, designed to keep us moving and entertained while getting the full-time care we need.
We vow to always provide innovative, personalised and high-quality care. Your choice, your support and your way.
With 39 beds on offer, Woodleigh provides CQC-rated ‘good’ quality care for people who need support with daily living activities from staff who are highly trained. A sense of belonging and fun is fundamental to our mission and each household unit offers a warm, comfortable shared living experience.
The service and the homely environment are designed for people to maintain their independence, achieve their goals and to build on meaningful and long-term relationships with other residents.
We also offer an Intermediate Care service, which provides the opportunity for recovery and rehabilitation through a planned programme of care and treatment. The aim of the service is to support discharge from hospital and living in their own homes to maximise independence, promote wellbeing and to prevent unnecessary readmission into hospital.

Our newest site, Lilycross, was opened at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, to serve as a ‘step-down’ facility for patients recovering from the virus. Now that the number of Covid-19 cases is decreasing, Lilycross remains open as a Nursing and Intermediate Care facility for adults recovering from time spent in hospital.
We ensure everybody staying with us at Lilycross can begin to regain independence, or recover as swiftly as possible, whilst maintaining good social connections and access to their local community.
Choose to make your recovery at Lilycross, with your home comforts and your local community.
Josie arrived at Lilycross in the summer of 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 crisis. She had just undergone major surgery, and the healthcare staff at the hospital decided that Lilycross would be the best place for Josie to be looked after during her recovery.
As an amputee, Josie was struggling with the emotional impact of her surgery, as well as the physical. She wanted more than anything to be well enough again to go home and return to her husband and family. The Catalyst team soon realised that Josie would benefit from some counselling during her time at Lilycross, and this was sensitively agreed to by Josie, with the help of her family.
Alongside her physical rehabilitation, Josie fell into life at Lilycross brilliantly, taking part in activities such as flower arrangement and even the latest TikTok dance trends!
When Josie was eventually discharged from Lilycross after a few weeks’ stay, she had gone from a demoralised and unconfident patient back into her charismatic and spirited self, who’s “smile could light up a room”.
Josie’s family wrote to the team at Lilycross after her departure: “A great big thank you to all the staff who took care of our Mum whilst she was recovering from her operation. The dedication shown by the staff was amazing, and the treatment and care my mum received, all with dignity, was wonderful. Communication from the staff was never too much trouble. Her personal care was above expectations. What a lovely place Lilycross is.”
*Not their real name
Josie’s story has been described by the Catalyst team as the kind that reminds them of their passion for their work, and the real difference it can make to people’s lives. It is a story that demonstrates the openness with which the Catalyst team work; looking for new ideas and routes to achieving brilliant outcomes for our clients.
It also shows the growth mindset with which they care for clients, no matter how desperate their situation might seem on arrival. They saw the potential in Josie and ensured that it was realised, which is demonstrated by the glowing feedback from her closest family members.
